Create a multi-page booklet that explains concepts, provides instruction, supplies information (or a combination of all three) on any topic of your choice.
The content of this document should be your own original material that you write for this project.
Page size can be 8.5 x 5.5 (half letter). Let's avoid the 8.5 x 11 page size. You can also make your page size 5.5 x 5.5 (which means the open two-page spread will be 5.5 x 11) since that's a very easy trim size and it allows bleeds for top and bottom edges. Since this document should be multiple pages, your layout should use facing pages in the design. The successful projects from the past have been between 12 and 16 pages.
You can imagine this document as a guide--a repair guide or a teaching guide. It could be an instructional or promotional document. It could be a sales document. It could be a technical help manual. It could explain and promote a program on campus. Regardless of the specific purpose of this document, the text needs to be your own text, your own, written work. Do not lift text from other documents. Write your own. The evaluation of of this document has a great deal to do with the quality of written work that you supply in this document.
It should include images (shoot with your own phone or camera) but they must be at least 200 dpi (300 preferred) in your document.
You will turn in the color version of your document, but I also want to see the printed booklet, which can be black and white if that's easier. That booklet must read clearly printed on a black and white printer.
My hope is that you'll take design inspiration from the brochure mimic that you did. So hang on to that brochure for design ideas.
Due: Wednesday of the last week of regular classes before finals week.
